This spell writing kit includes quill, ink and parchment.
- Quill - made from natural feathers.
- Ink - you can choose between Dragon's Blood, Dove's Blood & Bat's Blood variaties.
- Parchment - either regular one or made from sheep skin.
Most of these quills are hand made. We have made each one to be affordable as well as pretty. We try to use unique feathers and designs in beads, ribbons, leather or solder. They are all made from fallen feathers, New Feathers or from old feathers we have had in our collection. Each one either has a nib that can be removed and replaced, one that is stationary to the quill and some that have no nib and you would simply use the Plum end to write.
Our parchments, ranges from small to large, made from genuine sheep leather or paper papyrus. in the past, paper was scarce and expensive, thus people were using whatever was available and that was animal skins, specially cured and tempered to suit for ink. In our industrial age, it is the other way around.
The ink is also a very important ingredient in the process. We use the very best magickal inks made by Anna Riva and our own blends, made in house, according to traditional recipes. Dragon's Blood ink is red on color and is made from Dragon's Blood resin, which is extracted from the Dracaena species, and makes for a base for the other inks in this product. Bat's Blood has an addition of chamomile, myrrh, and cinnamon oil added to it, while the Dove's Blood has cinnamon, bay and rose.
